The Rollright Stones

Did you know that the Cotswolds are home to an ancient stone circle of 5000-year-old Neolithic stones? Called the Rollright Stones, they comprise around 70 tall stones called the King’s Men. There are nearby stones called the Whispering Knights and a King’s Stone, which is a funeral stone. Broadway Tower

The Cotswolds are also known for having a tower that commands views of more counties -16, no less – than any other English viewpoint. It’s called Broadway Tower and takes in sixty miles of countryside. It was built by a local aristocrat as a personal project in 1794 and is well worth a visit, especially as it’s set in over 200 miles of parkland.

The beautiful gardens

The Cotswolds are famous for its many grand gardens, including the famous Hidcote Manor Garden, which was one of England’s most pioneering gardeners, creating the idea of ‘rooms’ zoned within an outdoor space.
